Associate Manager Job Description
CLASSIFICATION & HOURS
Full Time Exempt
Business Hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
JOB PURPOSE
This job is critical in the core production operations of Troy Web Consulting. Associate Project Managers assist teams with ensuring client projects are executed effectively and efficiently from project initiation through delivery and maintenance.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
In your role as Associate Project Manager for Troy Web Consulting, you will be expected to participate in a spectrum of activities that are both directly and indirectly related to software development. Such activities include sales support, estimating, general consulting, mentoring, project management, client coordination & communication, project facilitation, requirements gathering, administrative tasks and various other supporting roles that help Troy Web Consulting win business, service clients and thrive as a business. You are expected to remain in alignment with our core values at all times and work diligently to be a highly skilled, dedicated professional who delivers A+ work. Essential Functions (70%)
- Assist with project coordination to effectively intake projects to delivery / operations business area
- Assist with coordination and monitoring of scope, schedule and budget for client projects.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients and project teams
- Assist with client communications and expectations to help ensure client satisfaction
- Assistance with Project Management day-to-day project specific tasks including:
- Planning, defining, and controlling requirements and scope
- Activity planning and sequencing
- Resource planning
- Developing project plans and schedules
- Time and cost estimating
- Developing a budget
- Producing, delivering, and maintaining project documents and artifacts, including Client cost estimates, Statements Of Work, and project status reports
- Leading teams and clients in project meetings
- Facilitating and coordinating agile software development process meetings, as
- required
- Performing risk analysis
- Managing risks and issues
- Creating work items/user stories in project tracking system
- Monitoring and reporting progress (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Meeting coordination, client & team leadership activities
- Coordination with contractors & vendors
- Controlling quality
- Assist with managing project Change Orders including identification, client coordination, estimation and client sign-off
- Assist with managing project closeout & archiving tasks on every project
- Assist with governance of project management best practices. Continually drive process improvements
Other Functions (30%)
- Coordinate with other departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources & Administration) to assist with other business functions including client management, invoicing, resource allocation, timesheet reviews, project archiving and other functions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
